Super Bowl Stadium Appetizer Platter with a World Market Twist!
Super Bowl 50 is almost here! If you know me, you know I am a huge football fan. Hello, Fantasy Football Super Bowl Champion right here! So of course the Super Bowl every year is practically a holiday in our household. Like any other holiday, you have to have the perfect food to share with friends and family.
I have seen some amazing football stadium sandwich platters and thought that a Super Bowl Stadium Appetizer Platter would be the perfect food to serve for this iconic football game. So, I headed out to my local World Market to get the perfect dishes, platters and munchies for a chic take on this appetizer.
In order to create this unique appetizer you definitely need the perfect serveware. The World Market White Tasting Collection seemed to be the ideal backdrop for this look for the stadium. To create the stadium I used 2 White Rectangular Tasting Plates, 8 White Square Tasting Dishes in small and medium sizes, one set of 8 of the Mini White Tasting Plates, 4 Tempo Glass Tasting Bowls(used upside down to create the upper level), 2 White oval bowls, and 1 White Deep Dish Open Baker to be used as the field and dip area.
After arranging them in the perfect football stadium shape, it was time to fill it up with some signature deliciousness that World Market offers. From the dips and chips to meats and cheeses, World Market has everything you need to have the perfect munchies for your Super Bowl party.
For the football field , I sectioned off 3 different sections – 2 endzones and 1 field area in the White Deep Dish Open Baker. The dips used were the World Market Black Bean Dip and World Market Chile Con Queso Dip for the endzones. For the field I used Frontera Key Lime Avocado Salsa.
First, section off the sections with two small pieces of cardboard. This will allow you to have the dips separated and keep that “field like” look. Once you have that in place, simply fill each section with the dips. Easy right?
After you have filled the dips, take a bit of sour cream and fill it in an icing piper. (If you don’t have one, use a ziplock back and just cut off the corner.) Now create the field yard lines on top of the Frontera Key Lime Avacodo Salsa and you are all set!
Along with the dips, my absolute favorite part of our Super Bowl Stadium is the Upper Level Columbus Salame Football Stackers.
In order to create these you need…
First, Place your crackers on top of the White Rectangular Platter, which should be resting on 2 of the tempo glass bowls to give the stadium the upper level stands.
Next, slice the cheese and then place it on top of the crackers. Afterwards, slice the salame in oval shapes and place on top of the cheese.
To create the official football look, take the sour cream in the icing piper you used for the football field yard lines and create the football lacing on the salame footballs. Bada bing, bada boom – yo’ve got some delicious football stackers!
For the rest of the munchies in our Suber Bowl Stadium “stands” I used the World Market Olives Stuffed with Pepper Jack, Mezzetta Spanish Queen Olives, World Market White Corn Salsa Fresca Tortilla Chips, and World Market Blue Corn Tortilla Chips. Each of these food items were delicious and created great filler munchies in addition to the dips and stackers.
I had a great time creating this unique appetizer featuring World Market goodies. Which World Market goodie is your favorite? Do you create any fun foods for the Super Bowl each year?
