Chick-Fil-A Salad Tasting Party and Giveaway!
Recently, I had the wonderful chance to host a Salad Tasting Party at the Chick-Fil-A in Benbrook,TX. With all of the commercials about the 3 new salads that Chick-Fil-A just came out with, I was ecstatic to be able to try them out! I love Chick-Fil-A so being able to host a party for my friends and all of us try out the new salads was such a great treat for us!
The first thing I noticed when we all walked in was the amazing decor! The staff that treated us, Jeremy and his wife Mandy, were so amazing and greeted us with friendly smiles! Mandy had set up a table with the most amazing faux grass place mats, pin wheel center pieces and even lanterns hanging above! Everything was pulled together so nicely! Even better, Mandy had put together the cutest gift baskets that were also name place cards. Don’t worry, you guys will get a chance to win 1 of 3 below as well!
After all of the “ooo-ing” and “awe-ing” over all of the amazing decorations, we sat down and started our wonderful party! After we were given our drinks in the fancy glassware, we were given our first salad to try. The first salad on the premium menu that we tasted was the Chick-Fil-A Asian Salad.
The Asian Salad was so delicious! It is compiled of romaine lettuce & baby greens, red cabbage and carrots, mandarin orange segments and topped with sliced Chick-Fil-A Nuggets! It also comes with Honey-Thai almonds and Chinese garlic & ginger wontons for you to include if you wish on your wonderful salad! The dressing that is paired with this salad is the Honey Sesame dressing. Honestly, I have never tasted anything like it! The dressing has almost a teriyaki taste that pairs so well with the sweetness of the mandarin oranges! The wontons and almonds also put this Asian Salad over the top! Any salad topped off with Chick-Fil-A’s signature nuggets is also a huge hit with me!
After having a few bites of this delicious salad, which was almost to good to put away, we were served with the next – the Grilled Market Salad.
The Grilled Market Salad was probably my favorite salad of the three! This salad is made of sliced grilled chicken, chopped romaine lettuce & baby greens, red cabbage and carrots, fresh apples, strawberries, & blueberries and blue cheese. Two sides of a roasted nut blend and harvest nut granola is also given with this salad. The dressing that is paired with the salad is the Apple Cider Vinaigrette. My absolute favorite part of this salad is the fruit! The strawberries, apples and blueberries paired perfectly with this salad and they were all perfectly ripe and delicious! The grilled chicken was also great, not rubbery like a lot of grilled chicken can taste like from fast food places.
After picking out all the fruit and eating almost half of this yummy salad it was on to the third – the Cobb Salad.
The Cobb Salad was another unique and tasty dish! This salad comes with sliced Chick-Fil-A nuggets, chopped romaine lettuce & baby greens, shredded red cabbage & carrots, roasted corn kernels and grape tomatoes, crumbled bacon and hard-boiled egg, and shredded monterey jack & cheddar cheeses. This salad is also accompanied by a side of charred tomato & crispy red bell peppers and the best ranch dressing I have ever had – Avocado Lime Ranch. If I had the chance to buy this amazing ranch dressing by itself at the store, I would in a heartbeat! It is so good and pairs great with the corn, carrots and crispy bell peppers! It is almost like a southwest salad, but 100x better because it has the signature Chick-Fil-A nuggets and bacon! Yes, BACON!
After we were all stuffed full of the healthy and tasty salads, we were asked if we wanted a tour of the kitchen. I was all for it! Of all the fast food places I have been in and heard stories about, I really wanted to see where the food in my belly came from. Did you know that they do “backstage tours” for everyone? All you have to do is ask! I suggest you do because it is so informative and everyone should know where or how the food they are eating is prepared!
The first thing I noticed is how clean everything was! It was cleaner than my house! Everything has its own place and each of the Chick-Fil-A cooking staff wears different colored gloves to make sure there is absolutely no cross contamination! There were so many neat facts that Jeremy was telling us about I had a hard time remembering them all, but one thing did stand out to me – the lemons. Chick-Fil-A is the leading buyer of lemons in the entire USA! This store alone uses over 600 lemons in just one day for their fresh squeezed lemonade! How crazy is that! He also told us that all of their chicken comes in its natural form – non breaded. They coat all of their nuggets in store and fry them in the most premium oil, peanut oil.
After the tour was over we were handed a delicious warm, chocolate chip cookie and thanked Jeremy and his staff for the wonderful evening of fun! Be sure to check out your local Chick-Fil-A and ask for a calendar of events. The Benbrook location hosts numerous events every month packed full of free things to do with your children! With summer coming up, I know all of you mother’s will be looking for fun and free things to do to get your kids out of the house!
Over all, Chick-Fil-A and their new premium salads get a full 5 stars! If I could give them more, I would! Their hospitality and kindness paired with tasty meals definitely will have me coming back again and again! Be sure to follow Chick-Fil-A on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook!
