Crayon Rocks Review!
Do your kids love to color? My step daughter is quite addicted to it! She loves to color and do anything crafty! I was so excited to be able to review Crayon Rocks, an innovative way to bring coloring to the next level!
Crayon Rocks is the new way to color! Barbara Lee, the owner and founder of Crayon Rocks, first had the idea to invent Crayon Rocks as a way to help students develop that good, tripod grip. Since crayons are usually a child’s first writing tool, she created Crayon Rocks to encourage the tripod grip. Crayon Rocks encourage children to use thumb, first and second fingers in a tripod grip. This is what makes Crayon Rocks a wonderful tool for fine motor development! Crayon Rocks are geared towards children 3 years and up because they may be a choking hazard because of their size. They are non toxic and comply with CPSIA. Crayon Rocks also are made with USA grown Kosher soy wax and other organic waxes such as carnauba. The pigments are made from minerals and the filler, which gives the crayon it’s shape is made from ground up rocks. Crayon Rocks even supports multiple charities! These great charities include Buddy Cruise, The Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio, Heart for Honduras, Birth Defect Research for Children, and the Leukemia Research Foundation!
We had the chance to review the Valentines Day gift bag, an organza bag full of 20 Crayon Rocks! It also includes this great rubber plate heart that when you put it underneath your paper and color over it on the paper, it creates this whimsical, romantic design! The red bag packaging really sets the mood for a Valentine’s Day gift for your little one. They will love having something so special just for them!
Now being a Child Development major myself, I am in love with Crayon Rocks! These non-toxic and greatly pigmented crayons are a great way for younger children to develop not only their motor skills, but cognitive skills too! Even though these rocks help little ones, they are definitely not limited to them! My step daughter who is 6 loves these unique crayons, but so does my 11 year old sister-in-law! She is a huge crafty fan and she really took a liking to these creative crayons! They have great color on paper and really are a fun way to create new and imaginative art!
